websites portfolio

  • Website 1: My first portfolio website that I have coded
  • Website 2: Added services into my first portfolio website and made a few changes
  • Website 3: Redesigned with new brand colours, logos, images, and style
  • Website 4: Applied with new images that fits my brand
  • Website 5 (current): Revised my website and brand through CRO and UX/UI, and revamp to make it UX/UI friendly
Every website I've created, including this one, is built using HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. When I started, I had almost no experience with portfolio sites, so I drew inspiration from other websites to get the look I wanted. Recently, I’ve also added Tailwind CSS to make my sites even more responsive and user-friendly. I wanted my site to reflect my freelance specialties, showcase my work effectively, and clearly present my services, which is why it has a unique feel.

mqtooling portfolio

MQ Tooling Ltd. is a small New Zealand business that supplies engineering tools to enthusiasts and professionals alike. The founder reached out to Manaaki for help revamping their website’s UX/UI design, and I jumped at the chance to assist.

Creating the homepage was straightforward—I used one of Shopify's free themes and customized it with their drag-and-drop feature. For the other pages, I had to roll up my sleeves and use my frontend development skills to format texts into tables and boxes properly and fix links to open in new tabs or the current tab as needed.

Chooza is an awesome online marketplace where every purchase helps support charities across New Zealand. It works by offering great deals and giving shoppers the option to donate directly or buy with a portion of the price going to charity. I had the chance to work with Chooza during my internship as a Digital Doer under Manaaki.

During my internship, I put my frontend web developer skills to use by coding pages in HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. One of the challenges I faced was understanding the term "slug" in websites, which caused some backend issues. After some research, I figured it out and managed to keep the website running smoothly while continuing to work on other pages.

sustainability 360 portfolio

S360, or Sustainability 360, is a small company that developed an app to help any size organization estimate its carbon footprint. S360 was the other place I interned as a Digital Doer under Manaaki.

I worked on digital marketing during my internship and set up a content planner with a month's worth of material. Since the planner could be updated occasionally, I collaborated with their designer to create templates for different content ideas.

Rugby Bricks was created to give players, coaches, and fans the best tools and info for rugby. Through the Digital Doers Academy, I met Kale Panaho, their Managing Director, thanks to Manaaki.

For a program assignment, I did a Conversion Research Optimization (CRO) audit for them. The trickiest part was the lack of clear instructions on how to do the Heuristic Analysis and which pages to focus on. I decided to start by looking at the pages that probably got the most traffic.
